The most simple but tasty flapjack recipe. The honey can be substituted for golden or maple syrup and adding chocolate chips makes it that more indulgent. Experiment with different flavours!

Pre heat your oven to 180°C

Line cake tin with grease proof paper. I use a 20 x 20cm tin

Melt butter, sugar and honey together in a medium saucepan on a low heat

Remove from heat and stir in oats until combined

Empty the mix into your cake tin, flatten with spatula

If using scatter your fruit over the flattened flapjack, pressing some pieces into it.
