Ingredients
8 servings
2 lbsboneless skinless chicken breasts
cut into thin strips
3 Tbsplow sodium soy sauce
or coconut aminos if soy free
2 tspginger
minced
1 tspgarlic
minced 🧄
2 Tbspsesame oil
2 Tbsprice vinegar
1 Tbspsesame oil
3celery stalks
thinly sliced
1yellow onion
medium, diced, 🧅
2 tspblack peppercorns
fresh ground, Make sure it is FRESHLY ground black peppercorns, not the fine pepper or it will be too much
Garlic salt
to taste
red pepper flakes
to taste
green onions
to garnish
Instructions
Step 1
1. In a small bowl combine the chicken with soy sauce, ginger, garlic, rice vinegar, and 2 tbsp sesame oil. Allow to marinate for 10 minutes.
Step 2
2. In a wok (I used a @hexclad) or large non-stick skillet, heat the remaining 1 tbsp. of sesame oil over medium/high heat. Add the chicken, and cook until brown, about 6 minutes, stirring occasionally. You might need to cook chicken in batches.
Step 3
3. Once the chicken is almost fully cooked through, add the celery and onion and cook for 1 minute over high heat, then sprinkle with the black pepper, garlic salt, and red pepper flakes. Give a good stir to combine.
Step 4
4. Serve immediately with rice of choice
