A quick meal for corn-lovers! This recipe was from my mother who would cook this for me as a side dish for dinners.

Instructions

*use a non-stick pan for easy cleanup

Step 1
Heat pan on low-medium
Step 2
Add 1/4 cup unsalted butter to pan
Step 3
Mince 3 cloves of garlic and add to pan
Step 4
Add frozen corn to pan once the unsalted butter has melted and the garlic is sizzling
Step 5
Turn the heat up to medium high and occasionally stir the corn in the pan until thawed
Step 6
Once the frozen corn has thawed, add the rest of the unsalted butter.
Step 7
Add in preferred amount of salt and ground black pepper to corn
Step 8
Add in the sugar and garlic powder and stir slowly
Step 9
As soon as you see the garlic and butter carmelizing, turn off the heat.
Step 10
Constantly stir at a slow pace for 5 minutes, then take it off the stove.
Step 11
Move the buttered-corn from the pan to a bowl and serve hot!
