Instructions

Step 1
Heat oil in hand crank popper over medium high heat for a few minutes.
Step 2
Add popping corn and sugar, if desired. Close the lid and start cranking.
Step 3
Continue cranking constantly until popcorn is fully popped and the crack becomes difficult to turn.
Step 4
Remove from heat and carefully open lid and pour into a large bowl.
Step 5
While popcorn is still hot, add melted butter and salt, if desired, and stir to evenly coat.
