Instructions
Step 1
Do not preheat the oven. Grease pan.
Step 2
Sift together the flour (384g), baking powder (0.75 tsp) and salt (0.25 tsp). Set aside.
Step 3
In a large bowl, beat the butter (3 sticks), and sugar (512g) on low speed for 10 minutes. Add the eggs (5) one at a time, blending well after each addition. Alternately add the flour mixture and milk (237 ml), mixing well. Add the vanilla (1 tsp) and lemon extracts (1 tsp).
Step 4
Pour batter into the prepared pan. Set the oven temperature to 350F. Bake for 50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the middle of cake comes out clean.
Step 5
Allow cake to cool in the pan for 1 hour. Remove to a cake rack and cool for at least 3 hours.
