Instructions

Step 1
1. Beat together the peanut butter, cream cheese and sugar in large bowl with an electric mixer on medium until well combined.
Step 2
2. Gently fold in 3 cups whipped topping until thoroughly combined.

3. If desired, spoon the chopped pecans into the bottom of the pie crust.
Step 4
4. Spoon mixture into pie crust. Using a spatula, smooth mixture to edges of pie.
Step 5
5. If using chocolate topping, microwave topping on high for 1 minute (or until melted and spreadable). Stir. Spread topping over pie, covering entire peanut butter layer. Refrigerate until set.
Step 6
6. Spread remaining whipped topping (1 1/2 cups) over hot fudge layer, if desired. Otherwise, serve with a dollop of whipped cream, if desired.
Step 7
7. Refrigerate until ready to serve. Garnish with pecans, if desired.
