Instructions

Step 1
Combine flour and salt in a mixing bowl.

Add hardened coconut oil into flour mixture using a pastry cutter. If you don't have one use a fork.

Continue to work the coconut oil into the dough mixture until dough becomes crumbly. At this point I like to use my hands to form a dough ball.
Step 4
Add in one tablespoon of ice water at a time to bring the dough together. At this point I like to use my hands to form a dough ball.
Step 5
Roll out dough onto a floured surface. If you're making a pie, roll out dough and measure your crust by turning your pie pan upside down onto the rolled out dough. You should have an inch of crust left around the inverted pie plate in order to crimp the edges easily. If you are making a galette, just roll out the dough into a 12" round and start filling!
