275gself-raising flour
2 tspbaking powder
4eggs
2 Tbspmilk
½ tspvanilla extract
1 ½ Tbspcocoa powder
2 Tbspwater

Instructions
Step 1
Preheat oven to 140C
Step 2
Grease and line 900g loaf tin
Step 3
Measure butter, sugar, flour, baking powder, eggs, milk and vanilla and beat with electric mixer for 2 minutes
Step 4
Spoon half the mixture into another bowl and set aside
Step 5
In a small bowl mix cocoa and hot water. Allow to cool and add to one cake mixture bowl
Step 6
Spoon vanilla and chocolate cake mixtures randomly into tin
Step 7
Bake for 50mins to 1 hour
Step 8
Allow to cool and turn out onto wire rack
Step 9
Melt butter in a small pan, add cocoa and cook for 1 minute. Add milk and icing sugar, remove from heat and leave to thicken. Spread over cold cake and leave to set
