Jamie Eason’s Italian Turkey Burgers are a nice change from traditional beef burgers! Loaded with zucchini, these are moist, flavorful and packed with lean protein. Topping recommendations: sliced avocado, jalapeños, onion and a drizzle of srirachi!

Step 1
Note: I bake these at 350 for about 20-30 minutes and then broil for color at the end so they cook more evenly and don’t burn! The following steps are from the original recipe.
Step 2
Set broiler on high, arranging rack so that burgers will be about 2 inches from the heat.
Step 3
In a large bowl, combine grated zucchini, salt, onion powder, garlic powder, dried basil, oregano, pepper and then turkey.
Step 4
Mix well and scoop out 4-5 oz portions. Mixture will be really moist so for easier clean up, use a foil-lined baking sheet, prepped with nonstick spray.
Step 5
Place burgers in oven and broil for 7 minutes. Carefully flip each burger and continue to broil for another 7 minutes on the other side. Serve warm.
