preheat the oven to 350 f
Step 2
grease a 8x8 pan
Step 3
cream white sugar and butter together until light and fluffy
Step 4
beat in eggs one at a time
Step 5
sieve the floor and baking powder into the mixture, a spoonful at a time mixing thoroughly each time
Step 6
spread the mixture into the pan
Step 7
core apple and slice thinly. arrange the apple slices over the cake mix, then sprinkle the cinnamon and brown sugar ontop.
Step 8
bake for 20-30 minutes until golden and springy to touch
Step 9
remove and allow to cool
