Instructions

Step 1
Preheat oven to 160°C

Rub butter into dry ingredients, it will come together eventually. Do not overmix.
Step 3
Roll out and cut into rounds then rest in the fridge (or roll into logs in cling film, rest and slice)
Step 4
Once rested bake for 15-20 minutes until pale and golden
Step 5
When cooked sprinkle with sugar and allow to cool

Freezing

Step 6
Biscuits may be prepared and frozen after step 3. If freezing in log form allow to defrost before slicing as slices will crumble (warm bread knife works best)

Additional flavourings

Additional flavourings may be added, eg. lemon/orange zest/oil, chocolate chips, chopped nuts, smarties
