Instructions
Step 1
preheat oven to 350 degrees F and line a cookie sheet with parchment paper
Step 2
Melt butter in the microwave until very soft and almost completely melted. 30 seconds at a time.
Step 3
In the bowl of a stand mixer beat together the sugars, vanilla and butter. Mix for 1 minute.
Step 4
Add in the egg and mix until combined. Scrape down the sides of the bowl.
Step 5
In a seperate bowl mix together flour, baking soda, and cornstarch.
Step 6
Slowly add the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients. Mix until a dough forms.
Step 7
Fold in the chocolate chips
Step 8
Using a cookie scoop, form balls and stuff a Werther’s soft caramel in the center of each ball. Reform the ball so the caramel is covered by dough. Place ball on cookie sheet.
Step 9
Bake for 10-13 minutes depending on how done you like your cookies
Step 10
Let cool on pan for 5 minutes and transfer to a wire rack.
