Instructions
Step 1
In a large bowl, add biscuit mix and sugar. Mix well.
Step 2
Make a well in the center of the mixture and add Crisco.
Step 3
Using a fork or pastry blender, blend the Crisco into flour until it resembles sand.
Step 4
Measure out buttermilk and mix with honey until well combined.
Step 5
Make another well in the flour mixture and add buttermilk.
Step 6
Incorporate buttermilk into flour mixture until it forms a dough.
Step 7
Pinch off a small amount of dough and roll into a small ball.
Step 8
Place biscuits in a cast iron skillet and brush buttermilk on top. Bake on 450 for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
Step 9
Once removed from the oven, brush on melted butter.
Step 10
Microwave a few tablespoons of vanilla frosting and then drizzle on top of the biscuits.
