Instructions

Step 1
Have a cookie sheet lined with parchment or silpat and the tbsp of margarine for your hands ready to go before beginning the recipe. It goes quite fast.
Step 2
In a medium sized microwave safe bowl, heat the marshmallows and butter for 1 minute.
Step 3
Remove from microwave and stir. Ensure all marshmallows are puffed up and melt when mixed. If they aren’t, place the bowl back into the microwave and heat for 30 second intervals until melted.
Step 4
Add the food coloring. Mix well.
Step 5
Add in corn flakes and mix well. The mixture will get very sticky at this point. If you need to, butter your spatula to ensure it’s fully mixed.
Step 6
Butter your fingertips and begin removing the mixture from the bowl. You can grab it all out at once to portion or grab out small amounts as you go.
Step 7
Portion into 5 equally sized balls. Pressing the mixture in your hands to compress and shape as needed.
Step 8
Insert your finger into the center of each ball and move around to make the center hole.
Step 9
Shape into your desired wreath shape.
Step 10
Let rest on the lined cookie sheet at room temperature until set. Decorate with cinnamon imperials, twizzlers or sprinkles if desired.
