Instructions

Step 1
In a large microwave-safe bowl, add and combine sweetened condensed milk, orange peel and orange extract. Microwave for 2 minutes, stirring every 30 seconds. Remove orange peel.
Step 2
Add chopped dark chocolate and orange liqueur if using. Let sit a minute and then stir until completely melted. Taste and check orange flavor, add more if desired.
Step 3
Add plastic wrap or parchment paper to the bottom of a 8x8 inches (20 x 20 centimeters) pan or something similar in size, making sure to bring the foil up the edges.
Step 4
Pour in the orange chocolate mixture, and cover the top directly with plastic wrap, try to avoid any air bubbles. Chill in the refrigerator until set, about 4 hours.
Step 5
Let it come to room temperature for 30 minutes or so before cutting into desired pieces. In these photos I cut the mixture in 6x6 = 36 pieces, but you can also double that.
Step 6
The fudge can last about 10 days in an airtight container in room temperature, but 3 weeks in the refrigerator.
