Sugar Walnut Pasta | My Favorite Childhood Dish

This is the one recipe that is closest to my heart. My mom used to make this for me as a kid, and nowadays when I eat it, I instantly get taken back to my childhood.

Instructions

Step 1
Toast walnuts in a hot skillet for 3-4 minutes, tossing and stirring occasionally without burning. Stop when walnuts become fragrant.
Step 2
Transfer walnuts to a food processor and blend until completely ground.
Step 3
Mix in 4 tbsp of sugar with the walnuts until thoroughly incorporated. This is our walnut mixture.
Step 4
Cook your pasta in a pot of boiling water until al dente. Fish them out and immediately transfer to a pan with melted butter. Toss to coat with the butter and add a very generous amount of your walnut mixture. Toss to coat with the mixture and cook for a few more seconds until the sugar starts melting.
Step 5
Serve on a plate with more of the walnut mixture sprinkled on top.
