Aglio e Olio is the ultimate Italian dish to make after a night out! It’s super simple, and comes together in the time it makes to boil your pasta! Lemon and parmesan aren’t traditionally used in this, but go ahead and add some if you like!

Step 1
Start by bringing a pot of heavily salted water to a boil. Add in your pasta and boil for about 5-6 minutes (it will finish cooking in the sauce).
Step 2
Right when you begin boiling your pasta, start the sauce. In a large saucepan add in garlic, olive oil, and red pepper flakes over medium low heat. You want to add everything to a cold pan so the oil nicely toasts and doesn’t burn the garlic and red pepper. Let sizzle for a few minutes but be very careful not to let the garlic burn.
Step 3
Add in half a ladle of pasta water, followed by your very al dente pasta. Continuously stir for about 5-6 minutes, or until your pasta has finished cooking. You may need to continue adding more pasta water as it cooks.
Step 4
Add in a handful of parsley, stir, and eat it right out of the pan!
