Instructions

Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 Fahrenheit.
Step 2
Cook pasta one minute shy of being ready. Place in separate bowl.
Step 3
Drizzle pasta with olive oil and stir.
Step 4
Melt 6 tbsp butter in saucepan. Whisk in flour over medium heat until bubbly and golden.
Step 5
Gradually whisk in milk and heavy cream until smooth. Once bubbles surface, whisk in salt and pepper.
Step 6
Combine shredded cheddar and gruyere cheese in bowl.
Step 7
Add 2 cups of cheese to the saucepan. Whisk until smooth.
Step 8
Add another 2 cups of cheese and whisk until smooth.
Step 9
Stir in cooled pasta to sauce pan.
Step 10
Pour 1/2 of the cheese and pasta mix into the baking dish. Top with remaining 2 cups of cheese and then the pasta.
Step 11
Combine panko crumbs, parmesan cheese, melted butter and paprika.
Step 12
Sprinkle over the top and bake for 30 minutes.
