Instructions
Step 1
Chop the onion into a small dice, and then saute until soft and translucent.
Step 2
Set oven to broil. Spray broiler rack with cooking spray.
Step 3
In medium bowl, mix egg whites, milk, mustard, salt, and pepper. Stir in bread crumbs and onion. Stir in beef.
Step 4
Shape mixture into 6 patties, about 1/2-inch thick.
Step 5
Place patties on rack in broiler pan.
Step 6
Broil with tops of patties abt 5 inches from heat, for 6 minutes. Turn; broil until meat thermometer inserted in center of patties reads 160F, 4-6 minutes longer.
Step 7
Serve patties on toasted buns with sliced tomatoes.
