Instructions
Step 1
Boil quohog shells to clean, set aside. Meanwhile, sauté bacon until almost cooked but not crisp
Step 2
Add butter and some olive oil and sauté onions, celery, linguica, and peppers until soft
Step 3
Add garlic for 30 seconds
Step 4
Meanwhile make stuffing according to package directions except substitute chicken broth for the water.
Step 5
Drain clams and add to onion/celery/pepper/linguica mix. If using fresh quohogs steam quohogs and dice prior to start of recipe.
Step 6
Combine stuffing mix and onion/celery/pepper mix.
Step 7
Add old bay and juice of one lemon
Step 8
Scoop stuffing into shell haves.
Step 9
If cooking right away broil until tops are crisp. If making ahead refrigerate. When ready bake at 350 until heated thru then broil until tops are crispish.
Step 10
Serve with lemon slices, Tabasco, and beer.
