Instructions
Step 1
1.) Preheat your oven to 350. Remove Cool Whip from freezer to bring to room temperature this will help make it easier to mix later.
Step 2
2.) Grease a mini muffin pan with a non stick cooking spray.
Step 3
3.) Place one square of Pillsbury Eat or Bake Cookie Dough the Sugar Cookie flavor into each hole on your muffin pan. 24 total.
Step 4
4.) Bake for 13-15 min.
Step 5
5.) Remove from oven and allow to cool for a couple minutes before using a teaspoon measuring spoon to gently press down the center of each cookie making a small indent. This is where you will put your filling. Once completely cooled removed from pan.
Step 6
6.) In a mixing bowl combine 2 cups Cool Whip with 1 cup of crushed Firework Oreos (that have the popping candy inside). I used about one sleeve and smashed it down to equal a cup. I also added in one tbsp of pop rocks. If you can’t find pop rocks in the store there is a generic version called “popping candy” and it works just as well. One package of popping candy is equal to about 1 tbsp.
Step 7
7.) Once filling is mixed well put it inside a ziploc bag or piping bag and fill your cooled cookie cups.
Step 8
8.) Using a butter knife or rubber spatula smooth out your filling and dip each cookie in extra pop rocks (using them as you would sprinkles to decorate each cookie). I put each color in a separate bowl and just flipped and dipped the top of each.
