Instructions
Step 1
In bowl, whisk sugar & butter together until light & fluffy (3 min.)
Step 2
Add eggs & mix in well; add vanilla, beating (1 min.) until well-combined.
Step 3
Mix in dry ingredients until just combined. (Don’t over-mix!)
Step 4
Divide mixture between 5 bowls; add drop of food coloring to each & gently mix.
Step 5
Spoon colors, one spoonful at a time, between 4 mugs. (Lay different colored cake batter on top to create a marbled effect.)
Step 6
Microwave (45 sec.) (Don’t overcook; it will dry out quickly.)
Step 7
Decorate with cream cheese frosting or ice cream or sprinkles, if desired.
