Instructions

Step 1
Use two 9 x 5 x 3 loaf pans Grease the pans with butter cut brown paper to fit all sides and the bottom of the pants

Set oven at 275 degrees
Step 3
Dip shears occasionally in cold water to cut dates in half and pineapples into course pieces put fruits into a large bowl with one pound of cherries

Sift together flour baking powder salt over the fruits
Step 5
Mix fruit and dry ingredients with fingers separating the pieces of the fruit are all well coated

Beat eggs until frothy

Gradually beat in Sugar add to the fruit and mix well with a spoon

Add 2 lb of pecan halves mixed with hands until evenly distributed and coated

Pack tightly into pans

Bake for 1 and 1/2 hours the top should be dry but not Brown

When done let stand 30 minutes lift out of the pan and fill the paper brush the top with corn syrup
