These light airy crunchy puffs are actually air fried or oil fried. Both ways are delicious. They are rolled in apple pie spice and sugar after cooked. So good!

Instructions

Step 1
Mix flour, the 1/4 cup of sugar, baking powder, salt, nutmeg in a bow. Add oil, milk and egg. Stir until it forms a dough. roll a tablespoon size piece of dough in a ball. Repeat with the rest of the dough. You can either fry the dough in oil or air fry them. Heat oil in a skillet and drop the dough into the hot oil. Turn the balls so all sides are golden brown. Remove to paper towel lined plate. Mix the 1/2 cup of sugar and apple pie spice in a bowl. Roll the cooked puffs in the sugar. Serve warm or room temperature. For the air fry option: place the dough puffs on a parchment lined baking sheet. Air fry at 360 for 4 minutes. Flip and continue another 4 minutes. Remove from oven and brush a little melted butter on all sides. Roll in sugar mixture. Serve warm or room temperature. Store in sealed container.
