Instructions
Step 1
(Optional)Pre-cook the rice using the soup and broth.
Step 2
Brown and crumble sausage in a large skillet. When sausage is about half-cooked, add onion, celery, and red pepper flakes; then continue cooking until sausage is no longer pink and veggies are starting to become translucent.
Step 3
Spray a medium-sized casserole dish w/ cooking spray or rub w/ butter.
Step 4
Put rice into skillet and stir until all ingredients are thoroughly incorporated.
Step 5
Pour into prepared casserole dish, cover tightly w/ aluminum foil, then bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until rice is tender.
Step 6
Remove casserole from oven and let rest, covered, for 15 minutes before serving.
Step 7
This recipe doubles BEAUTIFULLY in a 13x9 inch dish. Cook for 15-30 minutes longer, or until rice is tender.
