Step 1
Add butter and sugar to a bowl then zest two of the lemons and mix with an electric mixer . Now add the eggs one at a time and beat until smooth and creamy

Step 2
Add the ground almonds the juice of one lemon and the self rising flour and fold until combined then grease and lime a loaf pan pour in the batter and smooth it out . Bake at 160 c for 35-40 minutes or until a skewer inserted in the middle comes out clean . Set it on a wire rack to cool
Step 3
Mix powder sugar with lemon juice to make the frosting it can be as thin or thick as you prefer then pour over the top and let it cool ! If you can wait that long :)
