Instructions

Step 1
For date filling, place inputted dates in saucepan. Add water to cover. Simmer on low heat at least 10 mins. Remove from heat. Cool. Then put dates and mash. Drain excess liquid. Add lemon juice. Set aside
Step 2
For crumble: combine oats, brown sugar, flour, soda, salt & butter. Press half mixture into a greased 8 inch square pan.
Step 3
Top base with date mixture.
Step 4
Add remaining crumb mixture
Step 5
Bake 350F for about 35 mins
