Instant Pot Short Ribs

Instructions

Step 1
Turn instant pot to sauté mode and add 3-4 tbsp of oil
Step 2
Pat your short ribs dry and season heavily with coarse salt
Step 3
Sear each side of the ribs for 3-4 minutes or until a nice crust had formed
Step 4
Remove slay ribs from instant pot and add the diced carrots, celery and onion to the instant pot
Step 5
Sauté the veg for about 5 minutes or until the onions are translucent
Step 6
Season with salt and pepper
Step 7
Then add the minced garlic and tomato paste
Step 8
Cook down for a few minutes and then add the wine, vinegar, and Worcestershire sauce
Step 9
Turn sauté mode off and add the short ribs back to the instant pot
Step 10
Seal the lid and pressure cook for 50 minutes
Step 11
After the timer runs out, let the pressure release naturally for 15 minutes then release the rest of the steam
Step 12
Remove the tender short ribs from the instant pot
Step 13
Make a slurry with cornstarch and water and add it to the instant pot to thicken up the sauce
Step 14
Once the sauce has thickened, you’re ready to serve your short ribs!
