When Life hands you lemons make lemon bars! The perfect summer time dessert it’s fresh, light citrusy and so delicious and also so easy to make….
———Crust———
-2 sticks of unsalted butter (melted)
-2 and 1/4 cups of flour
-1/2 cup of sugar
-1/4 teaspoon salt
-1 teaspoon vanilla extract
:
—press the crust down in a 9x13 inch baking pan
—bake at 350° for 15 minutes
:
———Filling———
-1 and 1/2 cups sugar
-1/4 cup flour
-6 eggs
-1 cup fresh lemon juice
-1 tablespoon lemon zest
:
—pour the filling over the pre baked crust
—bake at 350° for 35 minutes until the middle is no longer jiggly
—take it out of the oven let it cool down for at least 2 to 3 hours dust the top with powdered sugar and enjoy
