Cinnamon Apple Cake

Very good. Made for DS1's birthday, 2026. Cut sugar in cake batter to 60g (due to sweetness of cinnamon swirl and top glaze), was delicious. Also added 1tsp salt. Cooked in enamel tin approx 9 x 11, cooked through in 30min.

so i read through the comments and halved the butter sugar topping also i agree i should of done more apples but it was really good and will be added to desserts that i make from now on

This recipe is amazing, great apple cinnamon flavor. I used 3 small apples. Next time, I definitely will use more. Also, I might only make half of the cinnamon swirl. It was a lot and sort of flooded the cake when I poured it on, then when I swirled it, it mixed into it. I'm making it sound bad, but trust me, it's so good, I'm just a perfectionist.

I cut the sugar only IN the cake to about 100-120g. It was delicious. I baked it for 45 minutes in an 8x8in glass baking dish.

Too sweet

Too moist not very sweet, I don't understand British units as well. Overall not very great.

Use salted butter or add a pinch of salt

Added some cardamon, works well.

Decided to do this but only for a serving of 10 rather than 20. The mix was lovely, but I forgot to take the halved ingredients into consideration when I put it in the oven & 45 minutes later I've opened the oven to a face full of smoke 😭🤣🤣🤣😭 Even still, they look absolutely amazing & smell great. I'm gonna try them with a bowl of ice cream & honey sauce after dinner with the family and can't wait 😃

Does anyone have this recipe using cups instead of grams? Found this chart after my post that should work
