Instructions

Step 1
Start by making the caramel. In a saucepan over medium low heat, add the sugar. Heat until melted, gently stirring the whole time.
Step 2
Once melted, remove from the heat. Add the butter and stir until melted. Next add the cream, salt and vanilla extract. Stir until well combined, then set aside and let cool for 30 minutes to an hour.
Step 3
On a cutting board, chop your nuts of choice into small pieces. Cut apples into half inch slices.
Step 4
Dip half of each apple slice in the caramel. Transfer to a parchment paper lined baking sheet. Sprinkle crushed nuts on top. Enjoy!
