Greek Chicken Gyros with Tzaziki

I made it with chicken breast for a leaner dish, but that ended up on the drier side. Would use chicken thighs next time.

I used greek flat breads as I couldn't get pitta breads, but would use the flay breads next time

Great strong flavor! Marinated over night, used 2 cucumbers and 2 tomatoes and 1/4 an onion

The recipe is delicious! I suggest researching the best pita breads and ways to make it more pliable. The bread I chose cracked when I attempted to roll it up.

it tastes amazing! the portions are very large so i would recommend making less chicken and i didn't use as much cucumber as it said, i also put it in tin foil instead of baking parchment because it holds the shape better. the tzatziki was very easy to make. overall i would strongly recommend this recipe! :D

Only made the chicken from this recipe (we had store-bought tzatziki to use up), but it was delicious! Marinated the chicken for about 2 hours & it added good flavor; next time will try marinating it longer. Served wrapped in naan with chipotle hummus, tomatoes, quick pickled onions, and topped with tzatziki. Very tasty!

Gyro

I served with hummus and kalmata olives. I make this like once a week, it's so delicious!

I recommend marinating the chicken the night before a busy day, as this make for a quick and tasty dinner!

Definitely don't hesitate to double the recipe, it's delicious and will get eaten quickly!!

This was so good! I cheated and bought the taziki sauce tho. But, the chicken came out amazing. I will definitely make this again. I used thin chicken breast instead of thighs. One of my daughters doesn’t like dill so I made her a garlic sauce instead which is fresh minced garlic, Mayo, a dash of Worcestershire sauce and a dash of ketchup with cracked pepper. It’s super good too!! 🤗

Delicious way to prepare chicken, and a tasty set of toppings for the gyro. I prepared the salad and tzatziki sauce when I made the marinade, which meant the meal came together quickly.

I messed up the sauce a bit by adding too many spices. I think the seasoning of the chicken speaks for itself without needing to do anything extra to the sauce.

I made this for my family! I changed the lemon juice in the sauce for lime because I ran out of lemon juice. It was delicious!

Super solid. I use dill in the tzaziki and cucumber tomato salad, but great quick recipe.

Made this recipe many times. Always eat way to much, that is a good indication that it is an amazingly tasty dish. Made homemade ceasar salad (made both the ceasar dressing and croutons from scratch.) to round this out as a meal! Would recommend making a little more chicken or if you want it to be more authentic making it with lamb.

This was delicious!! My family ate every last bite! I used mayonnaise as sub for Greek yogurt because my store didn’t have plain left. Served it on pita with lettuce, onion and sauce! We also made French fries on the side with zatar seasoning on them!

Pared down to 1 serving. Only used 4.5 oz chicken thigh but didn’t reduce marinade volume lower than 1 serving. Very good - chicken was flavourful and tender.
