Lemon Sugar Cookies

Way too good, couldn't stop everyone from eating them straight out of the oven 😂 As others have mentioned, add twice as much lemon as the recipe calls for if you really want to taste the lemon.

my baking sheet is a bit small so they grew too close to each other but the taste is 10/10. I also added white chocolate to some of them, tasted delicious ^^

These are the best cookies I’ve had in awhile ! I’ve never had great luck with making cookies, but these were absolutely perfect. It says put 2 tbsp lemon juice, go ahead and put 3. That’s what the recipe says to do if you’re a “lemon lover”, but after making them with 3 tbsp I would put even more in. These absolutely blew my mind as they were, but I just love a little bite of sour in my desserts. It sounds like a lot of juice, but the cookies are sweet regardless so that amount of lemon juice and zest will not overpower. It also says in the literature part of the recipe to add a tsp of vanilla extract if you like them sweeter, I would go ahead and add it even if you don’t want it more sweet. The vanilla doesn’t make it “sweeter” it just makes the flavor more complex as opposed to just the butter and sugar flavor. Wonderful cookies, highly recommend making them ! mine were gone in one day !

This recipe made lots of cookies! I didn't have any fresh lemons on hand so I used 100% lemon juice. In the end, I ended up with 35-50 sugar cookies. The lemon flavor could be more prominent, I'm not sure if it's because I didn't have lemons to zest or what, but even without the intense lemon flavor, there was a hint of the lemon juice. Loved these!

Whipped butter and sugar till very fluffy. Weighted sugar and flour. Soft. Light lemon taste, 3 TBSP lemon juice 13 min Hubby really loves

Turned out better than expected! Still a little drier than I woulda liked, but people loved these ones.

I didn't have any lemons to zest so I just added a little more lemon juice. I also didn't freeze or refrigerate the dough so I'm unsure that affected it in any way. I've never been to big a fan of sugar cookies but these ones are pretty good.

Zested 3 lemons. Mine turned out much thinner and flatter though. I'll try leaving the dough in the fridge a full hour next time. Maybe I mixed for too long? Delightful indeed.

I used very little zest, but the juice from three lemons. They taste like lemon bars.

Zested two lemons. Used juice from 1.5 lemons.

I love this cookie. Lemony taste is delightful.
