Instructions
Step 1
Wash the rice a couple of times and soak it for 1/2 an hour
Step 2
Drain the rice after 1/2 an hour and keep it aside
Step 3
Take a pot and add ghee to it
Step 4
Once the ghee is hot, add cumin, cardamom, bay leaf, cloves and cinnamon. Saute for a minute
Step 5
Add the rice to the pot and saute until the entire rice is covered with ghee. Soon the ghee smell should start coming
Step 6
Add 2 cups of water and salt to the rice. Boil the rice on high heat
Step 7
Once the water is not visible anymore, cover the rice and cook the rice on medium heat
Step 8
Turn the heat off once the rice is cooked
