Instructions

Step 1
Preheat oven to 450°
Step 2
Lightly spray a 9x9 baking dish with nonstick spray or lightly butter it
Step 3
Pour in the chocolate chips to cover the bottom of the baking dish
Step 4
With sharp kitchen scissors or a knife, cut 5 marshmallows in half. Dip 9 of the cut halves into the blue sanding sugar and put them sugar side up on top of the chocolate chips in the upper left corner for the blue part of the flag.
Step 5
Cut 2 marshmallows and dip into the red sanding sugar and lay those on top of the chips in a stripes pattern on the top.
Step 6
Cut 2 more marshmallows and add those under the red marshmallows. Continue until it looks like a flag. I did not use the whole bag of marshmallows, it was a little more than half.
Step 7
Bake 7-10 minutes until the marshmallows are golden brown and the chips are melted.
Step 8
Serve with graham crackers for dipping or pretzels, strawberries or Nilla wafers.
