Instructions

Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 degree fahrenheit
Step 2
Into a medium sized bowl sift flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
Step 3
In a large bowl mix well the sugars, eggs and vanilla. Add the shortening and beat with electric mixer until completely combines.
Step 4
Add the dry ingredients, mixing by hand until the batter is smooth and uniform. Add chocolate chips and still until evenly distributed.
Step 5
Form into 1” to 1-1/4” diameter balls and space on an ungreased cookie sheet 2” between each.
Step 6
Bake at 350 for 10-12 minutes. Cool on a rack.
