Parmesan and Herb Scones

This recipes will make 16-20 scones. My husband eats them all so I have to make enough for everyone else!

Instructions

Step 1
Preheat oven to 400⁰ and line baking sheet with parchment paper.
Step 2
In large mixing bowl combine all dry ingredients.
Step 3
Add cubed butter ans using a pastry cutter or your hands work the butter into dry ingredients until they are very small sized pieces.
Step 4
Add milk, lemon zest and lemon juice. Mix until just combined.
Step 5
Pour dough onto floured surfaced. Fold dough a couple times into itself. Dough should be shaggy looking.
Step 6
Press dough into a 1 inch thick rectangle. Cut into 16 pieces.
Step 7
Transfer scones to baking sheet. In small bowl add your egg with a splash of water. Beat together, and brush scones with egg wash.
Step 8
Bake for 20-24 minutes until golden brown. Transfer to cooling rack.
Step 9
Serve warm with a drizzle of honey.
