Ingredients

3 cupschicken
shredded or chopped cooked

1 tubsour cream

1 x 10 ouncescan cream of chicken soup

1 x 1 ouncedry ranch dressing mix
packet

5 slicesbacon
cooked and crumbled

2 cupsshredded cheddar cheese
or Colby Jack

2green onions
chopped

1 x 32 bag ouncesfrozen tater tots

black pepper

nonstick cooking spray

1 ozranch

1 ¼ cbacon bits
Instructions
Step 1
You can make this casserole ahead of time and refrigerate until ready to bake. Add a few more minutes to the cooking time.
Step 2
You do not need to thaw the tater tots.
Step 3
Combine the sour cream, cream of chicken soup, dressing mix (dry), crumbled bacon, shredded cheese and green onions in a large mixing bowl. Season with black pepper. Stir well to combine.
Step 4
Add the tater tots. Gently mix to combine.
Step 5
Pour into a 13x9-inch casserole dish that's been sprayed with nonstick cooking spray.
Step 6
Bake in a preheated 350-degree F oven for about 45 minutes.
Step 7
Garnish with additional chopped green onions or fresh minced chives, if desired.
