Ingredients

1 stickbutter
browned
½ cupbrown sugar
¼ cupgranulated sugar
¼ teaspoonespresso powder
1egg
large, room temperature
1 teaspoonvanilla
1 ½ cupflour
½ teaspoonsalt
½ teaspoonbaking soda
½ teaspoonbaking powder
2 ouncesdark chocolate
chopped
½ cupchocolate chips
For topping
Instructions
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350F. Add butter to a saucepan. Over medium heat brown the butter. Be careful and keep stirring it will brown quickly and you don’t want to burn it
Step 2
Add water to the butter to measure 1/2 a cup and let it cook for 20 minutes
Step 3
Add flour, salt, baking soda and powder to a bowl. Whisk together. Chop chocolate and set aside
Step 4
Add sugars to a bowl and add espresso powder and cooled butter, mix together until combined.
Step 5
Add dry to the wet and mix. Add chocolate and mix
Step 6
Spoon 3 tablespoon sized cookies and bake the cookies for 12-13 minutes. Top with flaky salt and enjoy.
