Instructions

Step 1
Melt the butter in a heavy based pot on medium heat then add the vanilla and salt and stir to combine

Step 2
Add the sugar and from this point on keep stirring . Do not move away or it could burn . Keep stirring and after a few minutes it will become pale and foamy . When it starts to smell like caramel and has a good tint it’s nearly ready . As soon as the color has deepened remove from the heat then pour into a lined baking sheet .

Step 3
Sprinkle some more sea salt on top and let it cook down . Once cool snap it I to pieces and put in a sealed container to store ( or eat it all straight away like me :))
