Instructions

Step 1
Add water sugar and cinnamon to a large pan then stir to combine
Step 2
Heat the pan on medium high heat until it starts to simmer then add the almonds and stir them continuously
Step 3
Add soon as the syrup starts to thicken the almonds will start to dry out and the sugar will caramelized and coat the almonds . Once they are dried take then off the heat and put the almonds on a lined baking tray to cool off
Step 4
There will be crunchy sugar residue left and I normally put that in a sealed jar and use it as a crunchy topping for muffins and cookies
