Instructions
Step 1
Heat oven to 350 degrees
Step 2
Heat caramels and 1/4 cup of the milk in a sauce pan over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the caramels are melted and the mixture was smooth.
Step 3
Keep mixture warm over low heat, stirring occasionally.
Step 4
Mix cake mix (dry), margarine, remaining milk and nuts.
Step 5
Spread half of the dough (1 1/4 cups) in ungreased rectangular pan, 13×9×2 inches.
Step 6
Bake 6 minutes. Remove from the oven.
Step 7
Sprinkle chips over baked layer. Drizzle caramel mixture over the chips
Step 8
Drop remaining dough by teaspoon falls onto the caramel layer, spreading evenly.
Step 9
Bake until slightly dry - 15 to 20 minutes.
Step 10
Cool, then frost with chocolate frosting.
