Pumpkin Spice Latte from Scratch

Making a pumpkin spice latte from scratch is actually very easy and tastes so much better than from those expensive coffee houses that shall not be named ! Save your money for the festive season not for expensive coffees . This can be kept in the fridge or frozen so you can make many more lattes with the ingredients .

Ingredients

For the pumpkin
For the pumpkin spice syrup
½ cuppumpkin purée
½ cupwhite sugar
½ cupcane sugar
1 tspvanilla
1 Tbspcinnamon
½ tspnutmeg
¼ tspground ginger
¼ tspground cloves
½ cupwater
For the latte

For the pumpkin
Step 1
Slice the Pumpkin down the middle then scoop out the seeds and toast it cut side down on a lined tray at 200 c / 400 f fan setting for about 35 minutes or until fork tender

Step 2
Once baked flip over then use a spoon to scoop out the pumpkin flesh and add it to a food processor . Process for about 4 minutes or until smooth . Store in a sealed container in the fridge for up to a week or in the freezer for about 4 months
For the pumpkin spice syrup
Step 3
Add all the ingredients to a pot then whisk to combine and bring to a simmer . Reduce the heat to medium and simmer a further 10 minutes . Place in a sealable jar and stir in the fridge for 2 weeks or in the freezer for 3 months

For the Latte
Step 4
Add milk pumpkin purée and pumpkin spice syrup to a pot then bring it to a boil and remove from the heat

pumpkin purée⅓ cup
whipped cream4 Tbsp
cinnnamon1 pinch
Step 5
Make a double espresso shot or your favorite strong coffee and add to one large mug or you can make two smaller ones if you like . Add in the pumpkin spice milk then whipped cream and cinnamon on top and enjoy
