Instructions

Step 1
Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. Generously butter a 9” round cake pan. Beat butter and brown sugar until fluffy. Beat in vanilla. In separate bowl, combine flour and pecans. Add flour/pecans to butter/sugar mixture; in four separate additions— mixing well after each addition. Pat mixture into pan and pierce on top with times of fork. Bake until slightly browned and puffy - about 30 minutes. Remove from oven and carefully cut into wedges with a sharp or serrated knife - before allowed to cool.
