These quick pickled onions are a great way to add tons of flavor to sandwiches stews salads and so many more recipes. They only take a few minutes to make and I always have a jar in my fridge

Instructions
Step 1
Thinly slice red onions then put them in a sterilized jar ( the jar should be boiled first as this will keep the onions fresh for longer )

In a pot add 1 cup 5% white vinegar ( you can add white wine vinegar or apple cider vinegar or half half If you like also ) and 1 cup of water with a good pinch of salt and the sugar or sweetener . Bring to a boil then cover the onions in the liquid .

Step 3
Put on the lid and shake the jar then put in the fridge . I like to use it after about an hour but the following day is so much better ! Keep refrigerated for up to two weeks
