Instructions

Step 1
Preheat oven to 375°F.
Step 2
Cream butter, cream cheese, salt, and baking soda until no lumps remain.
Step 3
Add powdered sugar and cocoa and mix until completely smooth in color and texture.
Step 4
Scrape sides of bowl to check for color and texture.
Step 5
Add eggs and vanilla. Mix until combined.
Step 6
Add flour and mix until smooth in color and texture.
Step 7
Chill dough until you can roll it into balls. Divide dough into small balls and place on parchment lined trays. Create an indent with fingertip in each ball. Place a small amount of raspberry preserves in each indent.
Step 8
Bake until surfaces crack, about 8 - 10 minutes. Cool on sheets placed on wire racks. Me chocolate and drizzle over cookies in a crisscross or other pattern. Store cookies in airtight containers between layers of parchment.
