Step 1
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
Step 2
In a large bowl, whisk together the cooled melted butter, brown sugar, egg and white sugar until well combined.

Add vanilla extract to the butter-sugar mixture. Mix until smooth and creamy.

Sift in the flour, baking soda, matcha powder, and salt.

Stir in the dry ingredients until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
Step 6
Gently fold in the white chocolate chunks and chopped macadamia nuts until evenly distributed throughout the cookie dough.

Step 7
Chill the dough for at least 2 hours in the fridge.
Step 8
Drop balls of cookie dough onto a parchment-lined tray, ensuring a two-inch spacing between each portion. Opt for three tablespoons of cookie dough for larger-sized cookies. My cookies used about two tablespoon of cookie dough.
Step 9
Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden. The centers should still be soft.
Step 10
Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring them to wire racks to cool completely.
Step 11
Once cooled, serve and enjoy!
