Instructions

Step 1
The dough As the first step heat up the milk, but the milk shouldn't be hot! Add the yeast to the milk, stir briefly and leave to stand for at least 5-10 minutes. In a bowl, add the flour, forming a hole, first the liquid ingredients and then the dry ingredients. Knead into a dough using flour. Watch out! The dough should be soft, but not sticky. If there is too much flour in the dough, the cinnamon rolls will not be fluffy and soft. Then seal the dough airtight and leave to rise in a warm place for 1-1.5 hours.

Step 2
The filling In the meantime, we prepare the filling. To do this, take the soft butter and whip it until it has turned into a pale yellow color. Then add the remaining ingredients and mix again briefly so that it can be easily spread on the dough later. It needed add some cream.

Step 3
As soon as the dough has risen (at least doubled in size), press out the air with your fist and roll it out with a little flour into a rectangle, approx. 0.5 cm thick. Now you should turn the oven on to 170 degrees top/bottom heat in case you forgot :)
Step 4
After you have successfully flattened your dough to an even thickness, proceed to evenly distribute the filling across its surface.
Step 5
Now, carefully roll the dough. Then take a piece of thread. Use it to press down on your rolled dough to mark the sections before cutting to ensure uniform-sized pieces. Once done, press the thread against the countertop under the roll to prevent crushing while lifting. Cross the thread over and pull it tight to cut through, separating the pieces evenly.
Step 6
Now, place the cinnamon rolls in your baking pan, preferably a glass or ceramic one. Allow them to rest, covered, for another 15-20 minutes. Before placing them in the oven, pour some cream onto the bottom of the baking dish between the cinnamon rolls, but not directly onto them! Bake for an additional 30-35 minutes.
