Step 1
Heat treat flour by microwaving for 1 minute 20 seconds, stirring every 20 seconds. Let cool.

Microwave butter in 20 second increments and stir until fully melted.

Add in sugar and brown sugar and stir.

Add in egg yolk and vanilla and stir again.

Add in flour and stir again. Fold in chocolate chips.

Microwave at medium power (400-500W) for about 40-50 seconds. Cool for 1 minute.
