Step 1
In a large bowl combine 2 cups of flour, sugar, undissolved yeast and salt. Heat water, milk and butter until very warm. Stir into dry ingredients. Beat 2 minutes at medium speed using the dough hook, scraping the bowl occasionally. Add 1 1/2 cups of flour, beat at high speed for 1 minute, again scraping the bowl. Stir in enough remaining flour to make soft dough. Knead on lightly floured surface until smooth and elastic, about 8-10 minutes.
Step 2
Cover, let rest for 10 minutes. Divide dough in half, roll into rectangle, and place in greased bread pan. Cover and let rise in a warm, draft free place until doubled in size. (About 45 minutes).
Step 3
Bake at 350 for 30 minutes.
Step 4
Remove from pan while hot and brush the top with butter.
